The Sats and Sundays

Just starting off this blog, to share some work i do in my free time .
Most of the time,i used my weekends, um.. almost all the time for computer games - C&C , AoE , warhammer etc. ( besides, being online reading junk at engadget, Gizmodo, Anandtech, Gamespot, wikipeida ....)and some Oracle stuffs, This, just never ends, so decided to do something else.
like what? had nothing in mind but had plans to get a book shelf, music systems cabinet, tools stand and a shoe rack done. So started off doing it my self.
Some time, in early June, started with the drawings/designs for all these units, using google sketch up ( i guess, i am too good at this now),but then later on paper ( as its a lot better to jot down measurements and freedom to write all notes , tips ... bottom line, this feels more practical in having it at the workshop ( um.. i mean "the Garage").
So the final design and measurements i stuck to was to have the plywoods, laments used up to the max ( each sheet is of 8x4 feet), here are the rough desings,

this is for the media cabinet( to hold sony music system,VCR ,DVDs and other gadgets. (len -5 feet, depth -15 in,height -3 feet)

this one is for my book shelf (len -6 feet, depth -16 in , height -2 feet) ,

and this one is for the tools . (len -5 feet, depth -15 in , height -3 feet) . well, that was designs on paper, but lets see how this turns out(measurements) when the sheets where cut.
will keep updating soon, as , as of today, my book shlef is nearing to be said DONE ( painting ,lamination and finishing is pending ). Will upload the images of work at different stages of completions in the next few blogs.
